Yes, I am currently in debt. There’s this thing in the Philippines where you can loan for your education. It’s 400$ per semester and I have loaned 1600$ so far. What’s good is that I can pay these loans thru salary deduction when I already have a work. How I wish that outside of work, I can still pay these or earn from something to pay this debt. That’s why I’m here.

Luckily I’m completely debt free. I suppose that’s one thing I can feel good about in my financial situation but ufortunately, I don’t have many assets either.

This is one area my parent really educated us on and I have stuck to it like a gum, Never go for what you can’t pay for immediately and I have lived my life and I’m continuing living with this message in my head.I don’t buy on credit,it either cash or nothing. So I’m neither owing or in debt. The best bet not to owed is either to save and buy what you need in future or get the little your money can buy for now while saving to buy more later.

I don’t have any debt when I was still single. Yes, I owed money from some of friends and relatives at that time but I had able to pay it on my promised payment date. In short, I won’t borrow money if I can’t pay it back early. But, and this is a big BUT! But when I got married, I and my husband became so used to debts. He has lots of debts when he was still single which whether I like it or not I have to inherit it. And the sad part is we tend to add it and the amount is so huge now. I hate to think sometimes that from my debt-free life, I have now an used-to-debts life. Well, if there’s life, there’s hope. Oh, help us, God! Claiming we can get out of this soon.

Thankfully, I am never in debt. I choose to live a simple life rather than spending money on things I can barely afford. I choose to live this way because I don’t want to work just to pay off my debts. Being in debt is suffocating. I get really anxious whenever I have bills to pay so I pay them off as soon as I can. It not only makes me feel relieved, but also happy. Yes, I may not have everything that I want but at the very least, I am capable of buying what I really need.

Are you in debt? Yes I have debt, but only few debts.

For me I follow what the Bible says in spending and debt. This is what I’ve learned, and I just want to share it. On Hebrews 13:5 it says, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake there.”

That is why I do not desire for more. This is one of the best verse in the Bible that discusses about debt and spending. Other people might have luxury items or costly high end gadgets. They use credit cards or borrow money from friends just to buy those costly things.

The good economics is being contented with what you have. This is only my opinion that is why I am sharing this. I do not spend too much. Being simple is better rather than having many debts.

I don’t have any debt and I don’t plan to have one because it costs more money to borrow money from someone or an organization to pay for something because of interest. I’d rather save or invest now to buy luxuries than to loan money to get it now.

I am currently in debt for about $5000 and still don’t know how to pay it. I’ve been hiding from the credit card company and been hunting me for almost 2 years now. I don’t have a regular job and still struggling to survive my daily needs. I’ve been looking for jobs so I could pay my debt however they wanted me to pay the whole amount. I can’t do that now I don’t know what to do. 🙁
