My business plan - Lord Saru - 03-01-2018
I am thinking of short term investment in the real estate sector. What I plan is to use 1 million US$ to buy a land and use that plot as mortgage to secure a housing loan and build a house with it. Later, I can sell it for a slightly higher price and take the profit and keep on investing the rest of the money in the real estate sector again and again.
I built three houses two of which was sold recently. The third house is nearing completion and I plan on utilizing the funds for yet another house.
What do you think of the investment plan?

From the limited information you have given, it doesn't sound bad but I can't say much for sure. Have you looked into renting out some properties instead of just selling? They tend to do well over a 20ish year period and give you returns on a monthly basis that way.

Once I have the funds, I'd really like to setup some rental properties. To me, that seems like a great way to secure a longterm income source, especially for retirement.
Selling does tend to be a great way to earn a nice chunk of change in a relatively short amount of time, however.

Yeah it really depends what you are after, most people probably can't afford to have a few rental properties going and therefore instead look into flipping houses.

Financial security is all about investing on those assets that we can fall back on when we are no longer working and that is the reason that I feel that investing on real estate is the best way to go about as long as we are ready to protect the future that we want. All I always tell my pals is that there is need to keep up everything that we do on a daily basis on the goal of making the future a better place for us.
